Meet Jozza.

Brazilian-born pop artist Jozza brings bright color, bold shapes and the energy of everyday life to his paintings.

Born in 1958 in Hidrolândia, Brazil, Jozza grew up in an artistic family. His mother, an art teacher, encouraged his interest in art, while time spent helping in his father’s lumber business led him to experiment with wooden sculptures.

His path to painting took him through law studies, soccer and the restaurant business. In 1996, he moved to Miami with his family to pursue art, working in hospitality while developing his technique. He held his first exhibition in downtown Miami in 2000.

Drawing inspiration from Andy Warhol, Robert Indiana, Romero Britto and Peter Max, Jozza combines vivid color with graphic forms and subjects ranging from city life to familiar pop-culture characters. His work reflects the streets of Brazil and the rhythm of American cities.
